Another successful Mishicot Riverfest is in the books. Despite some rocky weather, the celebration continued, and attendees were treated to a great weekend of family fun. 

Mishicot’s next big event is it’s 30th annual Pumpkinfest Oct. 21. Mark your calendars!

• Summer may be winding down, but Mishicot continues to celebrate the start of new businesses in the village.

Little Saucey’s Mishicot Pizzeria recently opened its doors downtown. The restaurant, at 312 N. Rockway St., serves a variety of specialty pizzas, pastas, dinners, burgers, sandwiches and wraps. 

The bar and restaurant are open Tuesday-Sunday and even offer free delivery options for those in the Mishicot and Two Rivers areas.

Local residents will now have one more great local dining option to try out. 

• Andercraft Woods, 620 E. Church St., will host a garden party from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Aug. 19. Stop in to make a wooden angel craft project. Specials and door prizes will be offered.

After making your project, take a stroll through the beautiful gardens and landscaping maintained on the Andercraft grounds. 

• As the upcoming school year approaches, the School District of Mishicot is ramping up for fall.

FFA students recently helped out at the Wisconsin State Fair, promoting the beef industry and attending an officer retreat to plan for the school year.

FFA registration for students in grades 7-12 is now open. 

• The Mishicot Sports Boosters are also welcoming fall with a golf outing at Fox Hills Resort on Sept. 9. 

The outing will be an 18-hole event with a shotgun start at noon.

• Mishicot’s next summer concert will be Aug. 16. Stop in at the Holy Cross Parish grounds to hear the Newntonburg Brass Band perform, with an ice cream social held by Zion United Methodist Church. 

From now until the end of the season, concerts begin at 6 p.m., rain or shine, and concessions will be offered by various non-profit groups in the Mishicot area.

• The Mishicot Senior Nutrition Site menu for the week of Aug. 14 is: Monday, barbecue pulled pork, baked potato, squash, freshly baked roll, dessert; Wednesday, birthday dinner, roast turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, carrots, dinner roll, birthday cake; Friday, spaghetti with meat sauce, garlic bread, steamed cauliflower, assorted fruit, mandarin orange cake.
